Spring Jeeping

I started prepping the Jeeps a little early this year.  We have a ton of wheeling to do during the spring, summer and fall and I want both of the rigs to be ready and to work flawlessly this year.  For off road duties, both my wife and I have Jeep Unlimited Rubicon’s. One is built more extreme for the toughest trails and the other is more mild mannered for less severe trails. Mine runs with 5 inches of lift and 37 inch tires. The wife’s sits 2.5 inches taller than stock and runs 35-inch tires.  We typically leave the smaller “street” tires on until we hit the trails.

There are ten major trail rides that we plan to attend this year and none of them will be easy.  From Pritchett Canyon in Moab Utah, to the Hammer Trails in California, we will hit those and everything in between….. well…..maybe not everything but we will be doing a ton of crawling!  So…. let the wrenching begin!  I’ve already replaced all the polyurethane bushings in mine and just completed the lift installation on hers. Mine also receives new shocks, the extra lift, along with some other suspension upgrades, a new winch and yet another set of wheels and tires, next week. The spare tire carrier is on its way. I’d have to say, we are just about ready.

Of course, I always have the RC Crawler handy when someone unexpectedly breaks on the trail.  It’s always a blast to bust out the little crawler and hit the rocks while everyone else has to sit and do nothing while the broken guy gets fixed up. I’ll make sure to share some of the adventures right here, very soon!  See ya!
